The stars have stories to tell! Join the park interpreter for an evening under the stars. Learn about the stars and constellations we see in the winter, hear some of the ancient stories of how they got there, and have a chance to view the night sky through the park's telescopes.

Prepare: Dress warmly for the weather and come prepared to sit outdoors. Seating is available, but you are welcome to bring a blanket to spread on the ground or a camp chair to sit in. Flashlights will be needed for coming to and leaving the area, and lights with red filters work the best. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. 

Meet: At the Lone Star Interpretive Theater, located in the middle of Hackberry Camping Loop. Please look for signage and flashing arrows that will direct you to the party's location. Plan to arrive at the park gate by about 5:00pm to ensure that you make it to the party on time. 

Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program.
